C#1 – Sector Organization : FO Federation and inter-profession
The « Support to the Commercialization of Cambodian Rice Project » (SCCRP) has provided support to organizations engaged in the rice sector at national level :
- Federation of Cambodian Rice Exporters in 2013, then Cambodian Rice Federations from 2014. SCCRP took part in the process (led by the Ministry of Commerce) of creation of the Cambodian Rice Federation in 2014 and in particular encouraged the representation of farmers in this inter-professional body. The SCCRP has also organized a visit of CRF leaders to “Intercéréals” in Paris, the inter-professional organization for the cereals sector in France.
- Farmer Organizations’ Federations, with a support to the development of services to their members (related to access to inputs, paddy commercialization or access to finance) and a strengthening of their advocacy role and capacities to represent smallholder farmers with government institutions in the policy dialog, and within an inter-professional body.
